Paediatric Care Nurse in Field Service (80–100%)
SOS Oxygène SA is a specialised homecare provider in the field of respiratory care. We support patients with complex medical needs in their home environment and work closely with hospitals, doctors, nursing organisations, therapists, and relatives.
To expand our paediatric homecare services, we are looking for a dedicated Paediatric Care Nurse (80–100%).
The role is primarily in the field service, visiting children and adolescents at home. Together with families and involved professionals, you contribute to safe, high-quality, and as self-determined as possible care.
Your Responsibilities
- Care of children and adolescents with complex respiratory needs, especially in the area of non-invasive and invasive ventilation as well as oxygen therapy
- Regular home visits to children and families in the assigned care area in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
- Advice, support, and training of parents, relatives, and other caregivers in handling therapies and medical devices
- Coordination of care and support during transitions from hospital to home, in collaboration with paediatricians, hospitals, children's home care services, therapists, and other care partners
Your Profile
- Qualified nurse HF or FH with several years of experience in the paediatric field or equivalent qualification
- Experience in caring for children with paediatric ventilation, palliative care, intensive care, or homecare
- Experience with respiratory therapies, especially oxygen therapy and ventilation, is an advantage
- Independent, responsible, and flexible personality with strong organisational skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Empathetic and appropriate communication with children, parents, and professionals
- Willingness to predominantly work in field service with home visits
- Driving licence category B required
We Offer You
- A varied role in paediatric ventilation and respiratory homecare
- A high degree of personal responsibility, scope for creativity, and active involvement in development
- Close collaboration with specialised doctors, hospitals, children's home care organisations, and other professionals
- Internal training in respiratory therapies, medical technology, and support for relevant external further education
- Modern homecare structures and cooperation with experienced professionals from nursing, ventilation, technology, and logistics
- Short decision-making paths and a collegial, interprofessional working environment
- A meaningful role with direct contact to children, adolescents, and their families
