You make our laboratory the place where ideas become reality – by reliably managing infrastructure and processes and supporting students and staff with technical skills and good ideas.
Department: School of Engineering
Start date: Immediately or by arrangement
- You ensure the smooth operation of our system technology laboratory and make sure that students and staff can always access reliable infrastructure.
- You manage devices, tools, and materials, distribute them to students and staff, and ensure their proper use.
- You maintain and support our 3D printers and other laboratory facilities, including minor repairs and regular functional checks.
- You support students in the project module as well as in project and bachelor theses by helping them with practical questions and being the first point of contact.
- You assist staff in research and development projects, especially by procuring components and materials and by providing operational help in the laboratory.
- Depending on your profile, you perform simple mechanical manufacturing tasks (e.g., drilling, milling, adjusting components) or carry out simple electronic tasks such as assembly, wiring, or installation work as well as support with electrical experimental setups.
- You have completed vocational training as an automation technician, mechanic, electronics technician, or in a related technical profession.
- Ideally, you bring experience in both mechanical manufacturing (e.g., simple processing or adjustment work) and electrical engineering or electronics.
- You enjoy supporting students and staff in everyday matters and present yourself in a friendly, helpful, and solution-oriented manner.
- You work independently, organize yourself well, and keep an overview even with several simultaneous tasks. In addition, you are a team player.
- You can communicate well in both German and English, orally and in writing.
