Your task

In this key role, you will take on the operational and strategic leadership of the department. You will lead four central units with high external impact: Security, Resident Services, Staff Services, and Location Marketing. You will strengthen collaboration within the department, further develop processes, and actively drive key future topics such as digitalization and data protection, always with the aim of further increasing service quality for the population. A pronounced service and customer orientation is at the center of your actions: you understand the administration as a service-oriented organization and consistently align processes, structures, and leadership work with the needs of the population and stakeholders.

• Leadership, development, and promotion of the subordinate teams and managers
• Control of service delivery including budget/financial responsibility
• Implementation of the strategic directives of the municipal council
• Preparation of decision-making bases, reports, and templates for political bodies
• Project and process management (within and across departments)
• Collaboration with the municipal council, department heads, and external stakeholders
• Participation in the regional leadership staff (crisis/operation organization)
• Further development of the overall administration together with the executive management team

Your profile

• Completed higher education, preferably in economics or law (university of applied sciences or university)
• Further education MAS/EMBA/NDS HF in leadership/public management or comparable
• Several years of leadership experience in comparable responsibility
• Strong service and customer orientation with high sensitivity to different stakeholders
• Experience in a service-oriented environment and high willingness to quickly and
• thoroughly familiarize yourself with new subject areas, knowledge of public administration is an

• Political understanding or interest in the interface between politics, administration, and the public
• Strategic thinking, implementation strength, enjoyment of complex topics
• Very good German skills, English and French skills desirable
