Your new role
You will be part of a well-coordinated and diverse team of 12 employees. Every day, we collect around 70 tons of municipal waste (refuse, bulky waste, green waste, recyclables) in containers, underground bins, and as fee bags or bulky waste on the street.
You will perform these tasks in a team of two or three while complying with the provision regulations and occupational safety. You support the driver in safely navigating the challenging topography of the city of St.Gallen and assist with the maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of the vehicle.
You are suitable for this position if
- You are in good physical condition and used to working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- You have completed vocational training and are accustomed to working independently and customer-oriented.
- You are a team player, customer-oriented, flexible in your work, and have good German language skills.
- You are authorized to drive a category B vehicle.
- You have a strong interest in training to become a category C driver.

Your department
Waste logistics belongs to the St.Gallen Disposal Department. The main task is collecting municipal waste in the city of St.Gallen. Approximately 16,000 tons of waste are generated each year, which our customers provide on the street, in containers, and underground bins. The waste logistics location with staff rooms and vehicle garage is located in the Sitterschlaufe near the St.Gallen refuse incineration plant.
