Water supply
Did you know that the city of Zurich has a water pipeline network of around 1,550 km? By maintaining this network, our dedicated team of around 50 pipeline network installers makes an important contribution to the high quality of life in the city of Zurich. Would you also like to actively engage for "Züriwasser" together with us? Do you want to develop personally and professionally? Then we should get to know each other. For the construction, expansion, and maintenance work of drinking water pipelines (including house connections), we are looking for new reinforcement by arrangement.
Tasks
- After comprehensive training, you will take on a variety of pipeline construction and repair work on diverse pipeline projects and other projects such as house connections in the city.
- You will be significantly involved in the construction of house supply lines, thus ensuring a reliable water supply for our residents.
- With precision, you will independently measure pipeline parts and responsibly manage water shut-offs.
- After your induction, you will regularly perform on-call duty (about 6 times a year, one week each time) and thus contribute to supply in case of incidents.
- You will work with other pipeline network installer specialists in a team and gain new work experience on impressive pipeline systems (~50 mm to over 2 m diameter); an exciting challenge that goes beyond the classic sanitary and pipeline construction sector.
Profile
- A completed apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) in the field of sanitation, heating, metal construction, or construction trade
- A further qualification as a pipeline network installer with a federal professional certificate is an advantage; or you are willing to acquire this qualification with us (required for the role; supported by the employer)
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions is not a challenge for you but a welcome change
- Your teamwork skills, high quality and safety awareness, as well as your commitment, distinguish you
- You are flexible, willing to be on call, and ideally reside in the Zurich city region
- You hold a category B driving licence and have good German language skills
