The Allgemeine Baugenossenschaft Zürich (ABZ) stands with over 5000 apartments and around 100 employees as a non-profit housing provider for affordable housing, social and ecological responsibility, high-quality architecture, and community-promoting settlements. As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed and integral personality as Managing Director.

In this versatile role, you bear overall responsibility for operational management. You lead the management team as well as the staff functions of communication, personnel, ICT, and assistance. Together with your team, you ensure the future-oriented development of the office. In addition, you implement the strategies and goals defined by the board, are responsible for annual planning, and prepare board meetings together with the president. With your presentation skills, you represent ABZ competently internally and externally and maintain active relationships with partners, authorities, and stakeholders.

For this exciting leadership role, you have a university degree, solid business management knowledge, and further training in real estate management. You bring several years of experience in managing a comparable organization and identify with the values of a non-profit organization and cooperative culture. As an integrative, strategic thinker with strong implementation skills, you convince through teamwork, negotiation skills, charisma, and clear, binding communication.

With your leadership qualities and passion for cooperative living, you make a significant contribution to the further development of ABZ.

The Allgemeine Baugenossenschaft Zürich (ABZ) is the largest housing cooperative in Switzerland and manages over 5000 apartments. The non-profit organization stands for affordable housing, social and ecological sustainability, pioneering architecture, and community-promoting living forms.

5 weeks of vacation, 6 weeks from age 50. The public holidays of the city of Zurich apply. Before Good Friday, Ascension Day, Christmas, and New Year, work ends at noon. In addition, ABZ supports various working time models so that you can optimally balance your professional and private life.

Contribution to training costs It is important to us that our employees continue to develop. For this purpose, ABZ provides 2 percent of the gross payroll as a training budget. ABZ's cost participation ranges from 25 to 100 percent depending on the training.
