Audio Technician (Live and Studio) with Optional Teaching Assignment (30-40%)

About the job

• Ensure, further develop, and provide technical support for the studio environment as well as continuously update the JaCM as a place of education, production, and work (approx. 30%)
• Close collaboration with lecturers, supervisors, and students considering the developments and needs of the music market for teaching and practice
• Coordination and exchange with the technical staff of HKB Music to ensure a connected infrastructure of a high standard
• If suitable, teach students in the field of Jazz and Contemporary Music in the subject of audio technology (approx. 10%)
• Plan and supervise examination concerts from an audio-technical perspective. Create high-quality recordings and support students in all audio-technical questions

• Professional basic education with a federal certificate of competence EFZ and function-specific further training at the specialist certificate level
• Comprehensive knowledge and several years of experience in the application of current live and studio audio technology as well as the corresponding software environment
• Interest in and experience with contemporary forms of jazz and popular music; ideally own artistic practice or research experience in the mentioned field
• If interested in the teaching assignment, a university degree in the subject area
• Language skills in German and English, French desired. Flexibility for short-term assignments
• The interviews with teaching demonstration will take place on 20/21.5.26 in Bern
