Clerk / Clerk Patient Admission

The Merian Iselin Clinic is a state-of-the-art private clinic with a public service mandate in Basel. Our focus areas are orthopedics, surgery, and urology. With us, you will find meaningful work in a family environment where people are at the center.

Your main tasks

• Responsibility for the administrative care of patients from admission to discharge
• Clarifications with patients, health insurance companies, and insurers regarding cost coverage
• Recording of patient/case and insurance data
• Carrying out bed planning and creating the OR schedule as well as interdisciplinary collaboration with the relevant departments
• Organization of inpatient rehabilitations and cures
• Participation in projects within patient admission
• Oral and written correspondence with internal and external stakeholders (patients, health insurance companies, attending physicians, etc.)

Your profile

• Completed commercial training or training as a medical practice assistant/medical practice coordinator with experience in patient admission
• Professional experience in the area of responsibility or in healthcare is an advantage
• Great interest in healthcare is required
• High social competence, professionalism, team spirit, and appreciative communication style
• Flexible person with a reliable, precise, and independent way of working
• Good MS Office user skills
