The municipality of Wald ZH is "city and country", has 10,600 inhabitants and is a recreational area in the Zurich Oberland. The municipality runs a youth center for its young residents. As the hub of youth work, it offers a low-threshold contact and counseling point for the concerns and interests of young people and is used as a meeting place during leisure time.

We are looking for a
Your area of responsibility
- Collaboration and co-design in youth work
- Outreach/mobile youth work in the municipal area
- Relationship work, counseling and support for young people and their reference persons
- Support with everyday problems (e.g. apprenticeship search, applications, conflict management)
- Planning, organizing and implementing youth-specific projects and events (e.g. youth evening, Saturday meeting, theme weeks, cinema evening, queer meeting)
- Leadership, design and further development of girl-specific offers and projects
- Health-promoting and preventive projects as well as participatory offers with young people
- Networking and cooperation with schools, churches, clubs, authorities and specialist offices
- Public relations work, including managing social media and articles in the local newspaper
Your profile
- Completed training in socio-cultural animation (FH/HF) or in a comparable socio-pedagogical professional field (e.g. social work, social pedagogy)
- Enjoyment and experience in relationship work with young people
- Experience in gender-specific youth work, especially in leading and designing offers for girls
- Teamwork skills, resilience, flexibility and creativity
- Good communication and IT skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours (also evenings and weekends)
