Head Manufacturing Engineer 100%
Your area of responsibility
- Leadership and development of the Manufacturing Engineering department both technically and disciplinarily
- Responsibility for the strategic and operational further development of manufacturing technologies at the Basel site
- Development of the medium- and long-term manufacturing strategy and implementation of this together with the production departments
- Responsibility for technology and industrialization projects from the concept phase to successful introduction into production
- Driving innovation and digitization initiatives in the production environment
- Ensuring long-term resource and technology availability (personnel, equipment, materials)
- Development of the manufacturing roadmap for Basel and support of international sites through technology transfer and engineering support
- Ensuring GMP-compliant implementation of processes in the Operations / QMRA area
- Close collaboration with RA/QA, R&D, SCM, and Sales during product launches, changes, and bottleneck situations
- Responsibility for budget planning and adherence in the Manufacturing Engineering area
Your qualifications
- Completed studies (FH/University) in engineering, business administration, or comparable field
- At least 10 years of experience in production/operations in a regulated environment (MedTech, Pharma, or comparable)
- Solid leadership experience in engineering or production environment
- Experience in managing complex technology or industrialization projects
- Experience in building or supporting international production structures is an advantage
- Confident handling of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), project management tools, MS365 as well as tools like Power BI for data analysis and reporting
- Very good German and English skills
- Personally, you convince through entrepreneurial thinking, integrity, and high reliability. With your pronounced solution- and customer-orientation, you create orientation and enable your team to achieve top performance together.
