Job Description
We are looking for a competent and dedicated medical radiology technician specialized in nuclear medicine to join our team in Genolier, Switzerland. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a crucial role in performing nuclear medicine procedures and ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging procedures • Use advanced nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners • Perform various nuclear medicine studies, such as bone scans, cardiac studies, and thyroid uptake tests • Ensure proper positioning and comfort of patients during procedures • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to radiopharmaceuticals • Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results • Adhere to strict radiological safety protocols and regulations • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and maintain a clean working environment • Stay informed about the latest advances in nuclear medicine technology and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or a related field • Valid certification in nuclear medicine technology • Current radiology technologist license • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in nuclear medicine • Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners • In-depth knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and their applications • Excellent understanding of radiological safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent patient care and positioning skills • Proficiency with DICOM and PACS systems • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy • Great attention to detail and excellent analytical skills • Excellent organizational and time management abilities • Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of French or German is an asset • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advances in the field
