Electronics Engineer (R&D) – Industrial Devices

At our development centre in Wil SG, we realise technical products for startups, SMEs as well as global companies – from medical and laboratory technology to household appliances and industrial products. For demanding development projects in the field of Industrial Devices & Components, we are looking for a qualified individual.

Area of Activity

Together with a team of highly qualified engineers, scientists and designers, you design, develop and realise products from the idea to series production. In the project team, you gradually take responsibility for your tasks in your role as a development engineer. Your area of activity includes the development of integrated electronics and software for devices in industrial environments as well as handheld electrical devices (battery, mains).

This includes drive and control technology, dynamic system simulation, hardware-near software implementation, circuit board design as well as commissioning and verification.

You are flexible, have a flair for innovative solutions and enjoy their practical implementation. Basic knowledge in the field of electrical drive technology is an advantage.

Requirements

• Completed studies in electrical engineering at ETH, TU or FH
• You are strong in finding solutions to conceptual questions, work systematically and have a pronounced system understanding for complex electromechanical assemblies
• You have a broad basic knowledge in electrical engineering (e.g. analogue, digital and microcontroller-based circuit technology)
• Basic knowledge in power electronics and drive technology is an advantage
• You have basic knowledge in firmware programming (C, C++)
• You are proficient with modern development tools (for example Matlab/Simulink, Altium Designer)
• You quickly familiarise yourself with new questions or subject areas
• You have high social and communication skills and enjoy working in interdisciplinary project teams
• You have good German and English skills (written and spoken)
