Purpose of the role
As a Business Development Manager Medical, you take on the strategic and operational responsibility for expanding our medical technology business. You analyze market potentials, define target customers, build sustainable customer relationships, and accompany projects from the idea to series production. In doing so, you act as an entrepreneurially minded interface between customers and internal departments and make a decisive contribution to market growth.
Main responsibilities
* Market development & acquisition: Analysis of new markets, identification of target customers, and active acquisition of new business opportunities in the MedTech sector.
* Customer development: Building, maintaining, and further developing long-term business relationships with existing and new partners.
* Project and offer management: Development of individual solutions, coordination of internal departments, and support of customer projects until successful completion.
* Representation: Representing the company at trade fairs, industry events, and with decision-makers.
* Profitability: Ensuring the profitability of existing products through price review, recalculation, and proactive optimization.
* Customer service: Ensuring the highest customer satisfaction, including handling complaints in close coordination with internal teams.
Requirements & qualifications
* Completed basic training (plastic injection molding, toolmaking, or MedTech sector) supplemented by further training in sales or business development.
* Professional experience in technical customer consulting, preferably in plastic injection molding or related areas of medical technology.
* Entrepreneurial thinking with strong technical understanding.
* Communication and negotiation skills in German and English, additional languages are an advantage.
* High customer orientation, empathy, and pronounced networking skills.
* Confident appearance and competence in dealing with different hierarchical levels.
