To strengthen our customs team Basel / Weil am Rhein, we are looking for a Customs Declarant 100% immediately or by arrangement.
\n\n\nThe tasks at a glance\n\n
- Independent execution of import and export customs clearance
- Verification of customs-relevant customer information and documents
- Consultation and support of our customers including handling complaints
- Communication and negotiations with customs authorities in compliance with guidelines
- Registration and deregistration of transports as well as preparation of transit documents
- Monitoring processes and ensuring timely clearance
- Calculation of duties
- General administrative tasks in customs affairs
- Work in staggered daily shifts between 06:30 and 18:00 (42 hours/week)
- Completed training as a customs declarant or equivalent qualification in customs affairs
- Several years of professional experience in import customs clearance (border or inland)
- Independent, precise, and responsible way of working
- Strong communication skills, service-oriented and resilient
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form (additional languages are an advantage)
