About the job
Your Tasks
- You lead the Integrated Capacity Management department professionally, personnel-wise, and organizationally. This includes the IKM team (focus tasks patient and OR disposition including perioperative consultation)
- You are responsible for the holistic allocation and central control of all hospital capacities and ensure optimal coordination of resources along the patient pathway
- In case of capacity bottlenecks, you initiate proactive and solution-oriented measures early and maintain close communication with the affected disciplines
- In coordination with the Clinical Operations Management, you make operational and strategic decisions for the further development of capacity management
- You support hospital management with sound analyses, calculations, statistics, and decision-making bases
- You are responsible for controlling the relevant operational key figures and regularly report them to the Clinical Operations Management
- You continuously develop the department and continuously improve the data basis and planning tools
- You maintain close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders as well as with the OR Operations department management, especially in calculating OR tickets and creating the annual OR plan
- In area management and hospital management meetings, you competently and appropriately represent occupancy and capacity figures
Your Profile
- You have a higher medical education at the (specialist) university level, are a certified nursing professional, or have training in medical controlling
- You bring business management understanding, ideally complemented by training or further education in business administration, controlling, leadership, or change management
- You have leadership experience, ideally in the perioperative environment of an acute hospital
- You work analytically, structured, and have a strong affinity for process design and data-based decisions
- You know the processes and interrelations of an acute hospital very well
- Your personality is communicative, loyal, and discreet. You act independently, appear confident, and have assertiveness
