Our hospital provides an extended basic care for the region with around 38,000 inhabitants in the canton of Uri with its comprehensive range of services and offers high-quality medical and nursing care.

Embedded in the beautiful mountain world at the southern end of Lake Lucerne, the region offers numerous sports and cultural leisure activities as well as an extremely good connection to the urban regions of Zurich and Lucerne.

We are looking for you to strengthen our young, dynamic team consisting of a chief physician, three senior physicians, and three assistant physicians, starting immediately or by arrangement. In our clinic, we conduct gynecological and obstetric consultations. We deliver from the 36th week of pregnancy (around 300 births annually) and there is a close cooperation with the women's clinic and the neonatology department of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital. Gynecological surgeries are performed both openly, vaginally, and laparoscopically (about 480 procedures per year). In addition, we comprehensively treat breast cancer from diagnosis, through surgery, to aftercare.

YOUR TASKS

Independent treatment and care of our outpatient and inpatient patients
Conducting your own consultation hours
Collaboration with other specialties represented in the hospital as well as referring physicians
Independent performance of gynecological surgeries / performance of complex surgeries under senior physician supervision
Active participation in the training of our assistant physicians
On-call duty

THE REQUIREMENTS

Specialist title in Gynecology and Obstetrics (FMH or with MEBEKO recognition)
Enjoyment of a partnership-based, interprofessional collaboration
Patient- and quality-oriented working method
Very good German language skills, both spoken and written

OUR OFFER

Operative training with a commitment to further education. Achieving the necessary numbers for the focus "operative gynecology and obstetrics" within 2.5 to 3 years (with a 100% workload)
Acquisition of the qualification certificate for pregnancy ultrasound within 12 to 18 months (with a 100% workload)
