Position
In this role, you take overall responsibility for the Operations area and ensure efficient, GMP-compliant manufacturing as well as smooth supply chain and logistics processes. You combine strategic management with operational excellence and contribute significantly to ensuring quality, punctuality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Overall management of the Operations business unit (Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Facility)
Leadership and further development of directly reporting department heads and their teams
Planning, controlling, and monitoring the budget in the Operations area
Ensuring GMP-compliant manufacturing, filling, and packaging
Responsibility for on-time, quantity- and quality-compliant production as well as goods flows
Leading and implementing projects as well as participating in cross-departmental initiatives
Ensuring compliance with quality standards, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Responsibility for deviations, change controls, and batch records
Participation in validations, qualifications, and audits by authorities
Continuous optimization of processes, equipment, and systems
Ensuring efficient warehousing and optimal personnel planning
Coordination with internal and external interfaces
Requirements
Completed studies in engineering, life sciences, business administration, or comparable education
Several years of leadership experience in Operations (production, supply chain, or engineering) in a GMP-regulated environment (pharma, chemical, or cosmetics)
Solid experience in industrial manufacturing as well as in managing production and supply chain processes
Good knowledge of GMP requirements and experience with audits and inspections
Experience in budget responsibility and KPI-based management
Confident handling of ERP systems (ideally Abacus)
Structured, solution-oriented, and assertive personality with strong leadership and communication skills
Very good German and good English skills
