Your tasks

As a Senior Data Scientist and AI Consultant, you mainly work on diverse AI/ML customer projects. Your role combines consulting functions and technical implementation. At the same time, you support the team in pre-sales and develop proposals for our customers. 

• Development and implementation of innovative AI, ML, and Data Science solutions for our customers
• Consulting our customers and conducting workshops to develop use cases and sustainable solutions
• Participation in proposal creation: For Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and smaller projects, you have the opportunity to take responsibility for proposal creation. For larger proposals, you are part of a team as an AI expert
• Support in the pre-sales area, presentations to customers and at conferences/events, including networking and follow-ups
• Close collaboration with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, IT Architects, and Business Analysts; both in customer teams and at ELCA
• Coaching and mentoring team members and supervising interns in exciting, exploratory projects

Your profile

• A completed degree at a technical university (ETH/UNI/FH)
• At least 5 years of experience in the AI field as a Data Scientist, Consultant, or in a similar position. A relevant doctoral degree partially counts as experience
• Deep expertise in the functioning of AI/ML models and the implementation of AI/ML applications. You are also well familiar with the entire AI/ML lifecycle and the Data Science methodology (e.g., CRISP-DM, MLOps)
• Strong ability to evaluate technical solutions in AI/ML and Data Science regarding complexity and feasibility
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to convince in pre-sales and customer presentations
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Databricks in the context of AI/ML is a great advantage
• An established network in the Swiss IT landscape is ideal
• Fluent in German and English
