Department of Education
The St. Antonius Gymnasium (www.gymnasium.ai.ch) is the secondary school (Matura school) of the canton of Appenzell I.Rh. In this traditional, humanistically oriented school, around 240 students are taught by 45 teachers in a long-term gymnasium. 20 other employees support the school operation.
The Department of Education is looking for a librarian to expand the library team at the gymnasium from August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, for a 50-60% position.
Your tasks
- Ensuring library services
- Supporting and representing the library management
- Advising and supporting students and teachers in borrowing, information research, and source evaluation
- Acquisition, cataloging, and maintenance of the media collection with winMedio according to RDA
- Participation in the organization and implementation of training and tours to promote information and media literacy
- Designing and participating in projects to further develop the library and its offerings
Your profile
- Professional library training, MAS or Bachelor in Information Sciences or Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ with relevant professional experience or equivalent
- Good ICT skills and confident handling of digital media
- Practical experience in library work as well as enjoyment in contact with young people and adults
- Service-oriented, precise and independent working style
- Team and communication skills
- Good German and English skills and preferably another national language
