Lectureship in Conducting (20–40%)
will be newly appointed in the profile Interpretation & Performance of the Department of Music. As a lecturer in conducting, you will be responsible for the major and minor subjects in conducting within the study programs of the Interpretation & Performance profile and will be a member of the Conductors’ Studio ZHdK.
We are looking for a musician with relevant experience in leading professional orchestras. Versatile stylistic competence as well as experience with contemporary music are part of your artistic profile. You will actively collaborate with other professors and lecturers of the profile and the Continuing Education Center and contribute to the further development of the conducting department within the Department of Music.
We expect excellent didactic skills and a university didactic qualification, or the willingness to further educate yourself in this regard.

The trial lesson with conducting a small ensemble, teaching lesson, and professional discussion will take place on June 9, 2026 in Zurich. The conducting and teaching lessons will be conducted publicly at the university.
