Legal Counsel (80-100%) - 1461
Ensuring electricity in Switzerland
In this highly exciting position, you will handle a wide range of private and public law issues – with a special focus on international aspects. You will be in direct contact with the responsible technical specialists of the Business Unit Market and Technology as well as with legal experts from other European transmission system operators. You will take on the following tasks:
- Participation in internal project and working groups and providing the necessary legal input as well as drafting contracts
- Support and accompany the Business Unit Market and Technology in external national and international contract negotiations and participate in relevant project and working groups at home and abroad
- Coordination of external lawyers for any international proceedings in consultation with the Head of Legal Market & Technology or the General Counsel

You have an independent and structured way of working, can quickly familiarize yourself with technical topics, and can present complex issues clearly and comprehensibly. You are flexible, enjoy working interdisciplinarily and service-oriented. In addition, you bring the following:
- University degree in law (the Swiss bar admission is an advantage) or a comparable foreign qualification as well as 2–3 years of professional experience
Willingness to travel within Europe for various projects to a small extent and interest in energy policy topics
- Good knowledge in the areas of private and public law, especially advantageous in electricity supply law and EU (electricity) law (implementation of directives and regulations)
- Assertive personality with a confident appearance and a high degree of credibility and integrity
- Fluent German and English skills; French skills are a plus

The Legal, Regulatory & Compliance department is the competence center for all legal, regulatory, and compliance issues of Swissgrid. It provides legal advisory services for the entire company – including contract drafting or projects such as line construction. At the same time, the team ensures compliance with national and international laws and regulations. Legal, Regulatory & Compliance is also an important contact point for the regulator and other authorities.
