igs Bern offers a home to people with severe cognitive and psychological impairments. In the four residential groups, five residents live in each. They are accompanied around the clock 365 days a year. The daily structure is adapted to their individual needs and possibilities. It is important to us to implement the normalization principle and to promote self-determination and autonomy among the residents and to enable them to have the highest possible quality of life.

For our residential group Orion in Moosseedorf BE, we are looking for a

Caregiver (60-80%)

The position is initially limited until the end of July 2026 with the option of extension

Your tasks:

• You accompany the residents in everyday life, support them in their self-determination, and open up new learning and activity fields for them.
• You plan and implement activities inside and outside the residential group.
• You support the residents with personal care.
• Together with the residents, you take on everyday household tasks (shopping, cleaning).

Your profile:

• Completed training in the social-pedagogical field, as a care specialist or as a nursing professional
• Experience in caregiving
• Willingness to take on key worker duties and departmental responsibility
• Willingness to perform on-call duties (about 6 times per month) and weekend shifts (2 times per month)
• Enjoyment of teamwork and willingness for personal and professional development
• Commitment and reliability
• A respectful, appreciative approach to the residents is as important to you as respectful collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.
