The inhabitants of this individual house were not satisfied with the breathtaking view of Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps: they wanted to infuse into the typical architecture of the 1970s

A harmonious interaction
While the basic shape of the two-story building remained unchanged, the complete renovation by Graber & Petter Architects allowed the volume to be given a new envelope of vertical wooden slats. Inside as well, subtle and targeted interventions allowed for a reinterpretation of elements, highlighting the existing and completely clearing certain areas. Generous and fluid spaces, open to the landscape, are the result. The living area of 198 square meters has been given the desired Nordic character, not only thanks to the addition of white surfaces, but also and especially through the systematic use of light wood: the furniture (built-in), window frames, and oak floors have a considerable impact on the feeling of space flooded with light. In particular, the well-thought-out combination of extra wide Villapark and Studiopark planks with the wide plank Cleverpark creates a warm and natural well-being atmosphere.
