About the job

The beautifully located Hochweid Retirement Center in Kilchberg includes a retirement and nursing home with space for around 48 residents as well as a care living group with 10 places for people with dementia. The focus of our work is on palliative care and dementia care. Our center also includes a retirement settlement with 53 senior apartments as well as 5 additional senior apartments in the Conradstift at Dorfstrasse 80/82.

Preparation and cooking of meals including special diets and ensuring high-quality food
Co-responsibility for a healthy, fresh, and varied menu
Co-responsibility for ordering
Support of the kitchen team leader and taking over kitchen responsibility in their absence
Personnel and professional leadership of 6 employees
Continuous development of the kitchen area
Ensuring impeccable kitchen hygiene according to the internal hygiene concept

This is what we expect from you

Completed training as a cook EFZ
Several years of professional experience in healthcare and gastronomy
Experience in a comparable position is an advantage
Very good German skills (understanding of Swiss German)
High sense of responsibility and hygiene awareness
Passion for the profession and joy in working with elderly and aged people
Resilience, flexibility, and teamwork combined with an appreciative and empathetic attitude
