Stock Management and Distribution Manager for the Operating Room
We are looking for a stock management and internal distribution manager for the "operating room" with an activity rate between 80% and 100%, starting from November 1, 2025, for the supply, distribution, and storage service under a permanent contract.
Context
The Vaud University Hospital Center (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and training.
The supply, distribution, and storage service, attached to the Department of Hospital Logistics, is responsible for managing the stocks of care units and the operating room, as well as controlling the flow of goods and mail.
Mission
- You manage the supervision and planning of the concerned teams (35 people)
- You follow and supervise the employees, fostering team spirit and a climate of recognition, trust, equity, and respect
- You participate in the recruitment of team professionals and ensure the proper integration and training of new employees
- You ensure efficient management of the operating room stocks (sensitive stocks) across different sites in connection with various key partners
- You manage the proper execution of inventories according to the rules in force
- You guarantee the delivery of materials intended for the operating rooms according to established planning while respecting the regulations and practices in this area
- You ensure that the services provided meet the expectations of the operating room partners.
Profile
- You hold a federal certificate of competency as a logistics manager or an equivalent qualification
- You have a federal diploma in logistics, an asset
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply, logistics, and managing an automated storage system
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision and personnel management
- You have a good level of English, spoken and written
- You have excellent mastery of ERP, WMS software, and common office tools
- You are organized, rigorous, autonomous, capable of respecting and managing priorities
- You may be required to work irregular hours (day, evening, night, weekend, including holidays), in a demanding environment (blind premises)
- You may face psychologically difficult and stressful situations (proximity to operating rooms).
