What to expect
- Leadership and development of an engineering team with a focus on personal responsibility, technological excellence, and continuous learning
- Close collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and adjacent teams to implement modern solutions in the area of sourcing & purchasing
- Active participation in the design and development of scalable software – from the first idea to go-live
- Design and further development of the software architecture including interface design and modular components
- Application of modern architectural concepts such as DDD, SCS, micro-frontends, and data mesh
- Ensuring high code quality through reviews, pair programming, and structured testing processes
- Optimization of development and operational environments including CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Evaluation and introduction of new technologies as well as establishment of proven best practices within the team
- Technical risk management and targeted reduction of technical debt
- Even a deployment on Friday doesn’t throw you off
What you bring
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, ideally in e-commerce, including at least 1 year in a technical or disciplinary leadership role
- In-depth know-how in modern backend/frontend technologies, cloud architectures, and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of agile software development and confident handling of DevOps approaches
- Experience in building scalable software architectures and implementing solutions in the area of sourcing & purchasing
- Knowledge in domain-driven design, self-contained systems, and micro-frontends
- Familiarity with team topologies and designing effective team structures
- High analytical thinking ability and pronounced solution orientation with a focus on customer benefit
- Very good communication skills and a motivating, empathetic leadership personality
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
- Interest in technological progress and active exchange with the developer community (e.g. open source)
