For our 5-member team, we are looking for a numbers-savvy and structured leader who will take over the control and optimization of the goods flow with their team. You ensure that the right goods are in the right place at the right time. In addition, you act as a strategic partner for purchasing in target setting and seasonal planning. Another important aspect is ensuring data sovereignty over product-relevant information to create a transparent and fact-based decision-making basis for management and purchasing.Responsibilities:
- Management and further development of the inventory management department and purchasing controlling with two direct and three indirect reports
- Member of the division management of Ochsner Shoes; close cooperation with the departments of purchasing, marketing, sales, and management
- Data-based support of Ochsner Shoes management in strategic decisions as well as direct reporting to management
- Definition and monitoring of seasonal purchasing budgets and reconciliation of purchasing plans with set budgets, participation in seasonal planning meetings with the purchasing department
- Creation and monitoring of purchasing targets (e.g., average sales prices, incoming calculations) in coordination with controlling and purchasing departments as well as regular review of target achievement
- Review and discussion of ongoing sales, goods receipt, and inventory turnover planning of purchasing, monitoring the age structure of inventory, and creation of action and reduction proposals based on this
- Identification and implementation of process improvements to increase planning reliability in purchasing
- Conducting ad-hoc analyses of sales performance, campaigns, promotions, and goods flows in MicroStrategy and Excel as well as further development of planning files and reporting
- Completed studies (FH/University) in business administration, supply chain management, controlling, or commercial training with comparable qualification/continuing education
- At least 3 – 5 years of relevant professional and leadership experience in merchandise planning, controlling, or purchasing
- Very good process understanding of purchasing and inventory management
- Confident handling of economic control variables (e.g., sales, margin, inventory turnover)
- Knowledge of BI tools, inventory management, and planning systems is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking ability
- Structured and detail-oriented working style
- High initiative, decisiveness, communication, and implementation strength
- Native German speaker; French or any other language is an advantage
- Authentic, empathetic, and positive leadership personality
