About the job
The Zentrum Breitenhof operates the senior center of the municipality, runs the daycare "KitS" for children, seniors, and the Breitenhof bus. Zentrum Breitenhof employs 160 staff members.
The eligible voters of the municipality of Rüti approved the independence of Zentrum Breitenhof on September 28, 2025. During 2026, the center will be converted into a non-profit stock corporation. The new Zentrum Breitenhof AG will take over the operation with all offers and services. On behalf of the municipality of Rüti, we are looking for a committed and experienced personality for the new organization as:
Chairperson for the Board of Directors of Zentrum Breitenhof AG in Rüti
- You will chair the board of directors and contribute significantly to the strategic direction.
- You lead the meetings and promote constructive collaboration within the committee.
- You represent the organization internally and externally.
- You ensure that the board of directors fulfills its tasks according to legal and statutory requirements.
- You act as a sparring partner for the management and support them in strategic and operational matters.
- In special situations, you take responsibility and lead the organization through challenging phases.
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or social services.
- Good knowledge of organization, finance, and functioning of a board of directors.
- Strong communication skills, social competence, and integrity.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to help shape an organization with a public mandate
- Business management knowledge with a good understanding of effective structures in an SME environment.
- Higher education (university of applied sciences, university, or equivalent) Sufficient time availability: +/- 20 days per year. Initially, increased effort is to be expected.
