The Support Telecommunications Surveillance and Internet Service Provider Clarifications department is affiliated with the Criminal Police. Working with surveillance measures and their data - especially in emergency searches - as well as creating expert reports from ISP clarifications requires a high level of technical understanding and responsibility. This guarantees high-quality support for frontline staff and is central to successful police work.
Your tasks
- Conducting extensive clarifications with Internet Service Providers and creating corresponding expert reports
- Supporting the employees of the Bern Cantonal Police in the area of telecommunications surveillance - especially in emergency searches - and providing related on-call services
- Consulting and professional support in all matters of telecommunications surveillance, including analysis of telecommunications surveillance data
- Participation in projects concerning federal applications as well as testing of currently used systems
- Active monitoring of technological developments in the telecommunications environment
Your profile
- Police or technical basic training or several years of experience in a related professional environment
- Knowledge of mobile communications technology and/or experience in telecommunications surveillance is an advantage
- Analytical thinking and high motivation for continuous further education in the field of telecommunications
- Strong oral and written communication skills to convey complex technical content understandably
- Team-oriented, flexible, and resilient personality with willingness for on-call duties outside office hours
- Driver's license category B
