We are looking for an Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) for our chemical production plant in Kaisten!
Job Description
Purpose of the Position
- Technical leadership in the specialized fields of electrical engineering, measurement, control and regulation technology (EMSR), as well as process automation
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal Syngenta policies in the EMSR area
- Significant involvement in maintenance, further development, and digitization of existing systems
- Defining and executing projects in the areas of EMSR, process automation, and digitization
Main Tasks
- Project management: Leading and coordinating projects in electrical engineering and automation, including budget, schedule, and cost monitoring as well as qualification and documentation
- EMSR and process control technology: Maintenance and further development of automation systems (PLS, MES, OSI PI), management of OT networks and cyber security, as well as integration of machine controls and bus systems
- Safety management and compliance: Expert role in ATEX and SIL requirements, process risk analyses, and change management (MoC)
- Digitization and IT interface: Promoting and implementing digitization initiatives, networking systems, and serving as internal contact for IT matters
- Technical consulting and documentation: Providing technical support to site electricians, maintaining electrical documentation, and collaborating with external suppliers
Qualifications
- Completed studies as an electrical engineer, specialization in EMSR technology and process automation is an advantage
- Experience in the chemical industry and project management
- Expertise in process control systems (PLS, MES, OSI PI, possibly Sattline) and OT networks including cyber security
- Knowledge and practical experience with ATEX and SIL requirements
- Skills in digitization, data analysis, and system integration
- Experience in maintenance and servicing of technical equipment
- Analytical thinking, independent working style, teamwork, and flexibility
- Fluent German and English skills
