As a Bid Manager, you pursue the overarching goal of successfully selling rail vehicles worldwide. As the person responsible for your projects, you are significantly responsible for Stadler's sales success. If you enjoy working in a team and actively driving projects forward – then you are right with us. We are looking for a committed personality who wants to responsibly lead their bid projects to success together with all involved stakeholders. The preparation of bids, coordination of the team, and preparation of sales meetings with top management are your responsibilities.
YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Cross-location project management of the bidding process and leadership of the bid team in coordination with the salesperson
- Responsibility for the timely and tender-compliant submission of the overall offer (in particular coordination of the bid team & work packages, bid & schedule planning, price calculations, progress controls, quality assurance of bid documents including handover of the offer to the customer)
- Preparation and active participation in sales meetings with top management
- Calling and leading project team meetings (kick-off meetings, progress controls (FSKs), and handover meetings for order processing) including monitoring activities
- Analysis and evaluation of customer tenders and their criteria
- Interface management with various departments of the group including cooperation with external service providers (consultants, lawyers, designers, etc.)
- Participation in process optimizations
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies at a technical university (ETH, TU or equivalent), or technical basic training with a university degree (FH or equivalent)
- Project management and/or leadership responsibility desirable
- Industry experience from plant or mechanical engineering is an advantage
- Very good handling of MS Office
- German and English (native or at least business fluent), additional languages are a significant advantage
- Independent, decisive, responsible
- Team player
- High flexibility regarding availability, especially during the bid submission period
- Willingness to travel
