Your Responsibilities
A central part of our logistics processes is the so-called "Milkrun": a system that ensures the supply of production lines with the right material in the correct quantity and at the optimal time. This includes all material flows from goods receipt through the central warehouse (supermarket) to the production lines, as well as transport between different production areas. Loading and shipping of finished products to the freight forwarder are also part of this important process. To ensure smooth supply to our production lines, we operate a two-week shift rotation with regular working hours from 6 am to 3 pm, 7 am to 4 pm, and 12 pm to 9 pm. To strengthen our team in Nänikon, we are looking for a young and ambitious person as a Logistics Specialist 100% (all genders).
In this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Supply of the production warehouse and production lines, independently solving logistics problems and managing internal customer complaints.
- Transfers and transports within the units (e.g., from finished products to the shipping area).
- Booking of goods receipt and goods issue.
- Repacking for production-appropriate delivery and management of empty containers.
- Storage and retrieval of pallets and picking in the pallet and container warehouse, including operating reach trucks and narrow aisle forklifts.
- Order compilation, participation in inventory, and process improvement.
We require the following for this position:
- Completed training as a logistics specialist EFZ and some professional experience in logistics.
- Knowledge of production and good SAP skills are advantageous.
- Independent and reliable working style with good team player qualities.
- Good physical condition (carrying up to 15 kg, frequent standing and walking).
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; English skills are an advantage.
We offer:
- Flexible working hours depending on the position with a hybrid working model and attractive training opportunities.
- A 40-hour week with at least 25 days holiday plus 4 - 7 bridge days per year.
- Free parking spaces and a workplace with direct public transport connection.
- In our own METTLER TOLEDO staff restaurant, we offer our employees healthy and discounted meals.
- Additionally, there are other attractive benefits such as various contributions to sporting activities, etc.
You can expect challenging, varied, and diverse tasks in an innovative and international environment, with the opportunity to network globally and achieve your next career goal.
