The Institute of Infectious Diseases undertakes tasks in teaching and research as well as in diagnostic microbiology in the specialties of virology, bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and serological infection clarification. It is thus the only university institute in Switzerland to unite all microbiological special disciplines in the field of clinical microbiology under one roof.
We are looking for
To complement our team in the field of molecular analytics, we are looking for a Dipl. Biomedical Analyst HF (80-100%) to start immediately or by arrangement.
Tasks
- Independent execution and evaluation of molecular biological routine analyses
- Independent execution and evaluation of infection serological examinations as part of the on-call service
- Ensuring high quality and accuracy of analysis results according to applicable guidelines and SOPs
- Participation in the evaluation and establishment of new test methods and technologies as well as in continuous process optimization
- Collaboration in studies in close cooperation with specialists
- Regular participation in night on-call and weekend duties
Requirements
- Completed training as a Biomedical Analyst HF
- Experience in molecular biological methodology in a diagnostic operation is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for modern technologies and their practical application in everyday work
- High IT affinity and willingness to familiarize yourself with new digital tools and systems
- Responsible and independent working style
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work night, weekend, and on-call shifts
- Good German skills, both written and spoken, are required
