Specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy for the new location at Pfarrer-Sieber-Huus 40%

The Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber Foundation (SWS) is committed to helping those in need based on the Gospel. With over 190 employees and 350 volunteers, it operates several facilities in the health and social sectors in Zurich and the surrounding area, offering assistance especially with homelessness, substance addiction, and other related health and social problems.

Our specialized hospital for social medicine and addiction diseases, Sune-Egge, offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for patients with combined somatic and psychiatric disorders. We have 22 acute and 20 long-term care beds available and work closely with public hospitals, doctors, local specialist offices, and addiction support institutions.

For our new location at the «Pfarrer-Sieber-Huus» at Konradstrasse 62, 8005 Zurich, near Zurich main station, we are looking for a psychiatrist starting 01.01.2026 to establish a new low-threshold psychiatric care service.

• Specialist medical care and treatment of psychiatric patients (mainly addicted, homeless, marginalized persons) at the new outpatient location in the practice of the «Pfarrer-Sieber-Huus», which is medically affiliated with the Sune-Egge specialized hospital in Zurich Affoltern
• Establishment of a low-threshold psychiatric consultation service
• Conducting psychotherapeutic individual and group sessions, crisis interventions, psychopharmacological therapies
• Consultative psychiatric care and supervision throughout the entire foundation
• Close collaboration with the internal medicine medical service of the Sune-Egge specialized hospital
• Development and implementation of creative concepts for appropriate social medical and psychiatric care of our target group in all areas of the social work (support, care, assistance), in our milieu-related facilities and on the "street"
• Co-responsibility for achieving qualitative and economic objectives
• Close cooperation and maintenance of professional collaborations with referring institutions in addiction medicine and psychiatry

• Swiss recognized specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy
• Fulfilled admission requirements for a professional practice license of the canton of Zurich
• Experience and expertise in addiction medicine (SSAM addiction diseases certificate desirable)
• Knowledge in internal medicine is an advantage
• Interest and commitment to people on the margins of society
• Flexible, humorous, and pragmatic personality with a sense for practical solution approaches
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
