A Pre-billing Manager within the Women-Mother-Child Department
For our billing service of the Women-Mother-Child Department, we are looking for a pre-billing manager for outpatient and inpatient services, on a permanent contract between 80 and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
As the pre-billing manager, your tasks will be as follows:
- You will lead the pre-billing team members in compliance with the budget and directives (7 to 10 people)
- You develop processes and methods to improve and ensure the completeness of outpatient and inpatient billing
- You ensure the development of tools and catalogs enabling excellence in outpatient billing
- You analyze the results of service entry and are able to propose necessary improvements
- You represent the DFME and its services for all billing-related matters
- Additionally, you actively participate in implementing the strategic objectives of the department and the institution.
Profile
- You hold a university or HES degree in hospital or financial management, or a nursing qualification (completed with significant experience)
- Ideally, you have obtained a CAS in health management
- You have similar experience in a responsible position in a medium or large company for at least 5 years, as well as experience in financial management and hospital billing (Tarmed, NTA, DRG, and insurance rights)
- You have very good knowledge of common IT tools
- You have a very good sense of organization, planning, and decision-making complemented by excellent action capacity
- You have excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, enjoy working in a team, and demonstrate openness and flexibility
- Your analytical and synthesis skills allow you to have a global vision of situations and a developed sense of perspective
- Knowledge of the hospital or medical environment is a strong asset.
