Content Creation Officer

Are you passionate about storytelling and have a keen sense for trends and topics that move people? In the Communication & Marketing department of the University of Basel, you will contribute your ideas and actively shape the presence of our central social media channels.
You tell stories where our target groups are active and stay close to their interests. With creative video formats and other multimedia content, you make projects from teaching and research as visible as campus life - current, authentic, and with a keen sense of timing and tone. The position is limited to three years.

Your tasks

• You develop ideas and tell stories for the digital communication of the University of Basel
• You produce contemporary, creative content with a focus on video for social media, website, and other digital channels
• You independently implement audiovisual content - from conception through shooting and editing to publication
• You monitor trends, analyze the performance of your content, and continuously develop formats
• You plan and coordinate topics and formats within the editorial planning
• You work closely with the content creation team and other internal interfaces

Your profile

• Education or training in communication, marketing, journalism, film, multimedia production, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in professional content creation, especially with audiovisual formats for social media
• Very good skills in video editing and post-production
• A good sense for storytelling, trends, and topics that appeal to different target groups
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills
• Experience in the education or higher education sector is an advantage
• Open, confident demeanor and enjoyment in interacting with people - in conversation, interview, or if necessary, in front of the camera
