Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child assistance , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages more than 40 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva and has more than 500 places for minors and young adults and offers ambulatory educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 500 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a civilian for its homes Les Écureuils Doret and Les Écureuils Guéry .
Job Description
The civilian positions concern only persons who have decided to perform their civil service instead of Swiss military service.
- 20% Sports activities and camps
Participation in sports activities. - 40% Maintenance of equipment, property, and premises
Maintenance of various equipment, tree trimming, lawn mowing, cleaning and sweeping of outdoor areas, small repairs in the house, tidying up the premises. - 40% Assistance with daily life
Support during waking up, lunch, three evenings per week, participation in meetings, school help, etc. Computerized recording of individual follow-ups. Occasional transport of residents.

Qualifications
- Interest in the social/educational environment with children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Ease of contact, sense of responsibility, flexible, dynamic, and having a driving license.
- Good physical condition.
- Autonomy in work.
- Interest in manual work, DIY, and gardening.
Additional Information
Swiss civil service is an alternative for persons subject to military service who cannot reconcile this service with their conscience. They perform, upon request, a replacement civil service.
- Activity rate: 100%.
- Start date: July 15 or to be agreed.
- Duration of the mission: 3 to 12 months.
