Youth Lawyer Joker (limited until December 31, 2028) 60%The youth prosecution offices conduct criminal investigations against children and adolescents aged 10 to 18, file charges with the juvenile court, and enforce juvenile criminal law judgments and decisions.
To complement our team, we are looking for a committed youth lawyer 60% from January 1, 2026, or by arrangement for a versatile joker function. In this important role, you will flexibly support the five different youth prosecution offices as needed and bring your open-minded and analytical working style. The position is initially limited to three years. Become part of a dynamic environment and get to know the entire juvenile criminal justice system of the Canton of Zurich.
These tasks await you:
- You conduct and complete criminal investigations against juveniles, draft dismissal orders as well as non-prosecution orders, and represent the prosecution before the juvenile court.
- You perform single-judge functions within the framework of criminal proceedings (issuance of penal orders).
- In cooperation with social workers, you clarify the need for measures and enforce juvenile criminal law judgments and decisions, including protective measures.
- You are willing to regularly perform on-call duty (including nights and weekends).
- You support the five regional youth prosecution offices on site in case of personnel shortages or special situations.
What distinguishes you:
- You have a completed legal master's degree and have preferably obtained the lawyer's license.
- You have many years of experience in criminal justice and sound knowledge in the field of juvenile criminal law.
- Your experience in pedagogy and youth welfare (advantageous) and your broad life experience allow you to deal with young people confidently and professionally.
- Your strengths include resilience and decisiveness, assertiveness, and a people-oriented manner.
- Thanks to your strong communication skills, you can clearly express your opinion but also integrate well into various interdisciplinary teams.
- You are characterized by flexibility, willingness to learn, resilience, and digital affinity.
