About the job
The Schlatt-Haslen school is a manageable, lively school in a rural yet close-to-town environment with around 100 learners and 15 staff members. We cultivate a respectful coexistence and shape the school as a shared space for learning and development. Especially in the area of school space development, but also in the pedagogical field, we are in an exciting and decisive phase in which milestones for the future of the Schlatt-Haslen school are being set.
As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for an engaged and solution-oriented personality from August 1, 2026, or by agreement, who would like to shape and influence our school (Cycle 1 and 2) both pedagogically and in the current spatial development.
Your main tasks include:
- Supporting teachers in their pedagogical work and development
- Planning and organizing the school year
- Leading teachers and promoting team development
- Initiating further training for teachers
- Coordinating and implementing pedagogical school development projects
- Participating in the current spatial development and co-designing new learning spaces
- Ensuring the implementation of quality management according to cantonal requirements
- Optimizing learning conditions and the development of the school climate
What you bring:
- Basic pedagogical training as well as several years of experience in elementary school
- Completed school management training or willingness to complete it promptly
- Empathy, assertiveness, and joy in dealing with children and adolescents, parents, teachers, and authorities
- A solution-oriented attitude as well as the ability to clearly represent and implement decisions
- Appreciative attitude and clear, transparent information and leadership style
- Core competence in the areas of teaching and school development, conducting conversations,
organization and planning - Independence, openness, strong teamwork skills, flexibility, leadership competence, ability for self-criticism
