The unit also provides pre-/post-graduate and continuing education functions related to various professions (doctors, paramedics, magistrates, lawyers, police officers, etc.). It is also active in the field of forensic medical research.
Job Description
You participate, under supervision, in the activities of the Forensic Medicine and Imaging Unit.
Your main areas of activity are thanatological examinations (body removals and medico-legal autopsies), clinical expertises (assessment of traumatic injuries and sexual assault), and file-based expertises.
You also participate in post-mortem medical imaging investigations, using imaging techniques such as radiography, CT-Scan, MRI, and post-mortem angiography, which allow visualization of the inside of the human body.
You attend scientific seminars and participate in postgraduate forensic medicine training courses.
You also have the opportunity to take part in the unit's research activities.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal Diploma of Physician or an equivalent title recognized by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO). You have one or more years of postgraduate training in forensic medicine, or in fields such as internal medicine, psychiatry, radiology, surgery, pediatrics, pathology. Holding an FMH title is not mandatory; applications from beginners are also considered.
Conscientious and reliable by nature, you have good stress resistance, enjoy working in a team and with discretion.
