We are looking for your support as Head of Department (100%) to complement our team immediately or by arrangement.
Job Description
The focus of your tasks, in addition to leading criminal investigations in the area of the Criminal Code and ancillary criminal law, is the management of a department of the Limmattal / Albis Public Prosecutor's Office. You organize and lead the department in professional and personnel matters (public prosecutors, assistant public prosecutors, auditors, and your own secretariat). You ensure a balanced case load and regular exchange of information within the department. You are also motivated to actively participate in projects and working groups. In your role as public prosecutor, you continue to perform on-call duties and represent your cases before the cantonal courts. A competent secretariat supports you.
Requirements
You have practical court experience as well as several years of experience in handling criminal cases, preferably as a public prosecutor. You apply your very good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law practically; you conduct investigations systematically and efficiently. Formally, you are eligible for election as a public prosecutor according to the Zurich Court Organization Act. Ideally, you hold a lawyer's license, have completed the CAS Forensics course, and bring leadership experience. Your willingness to further educate yourself in leadership and personal development is a matter of course.
Your personal strengths include absolute integrity, discretion, and high resilience. Diplomatic skill combined with assertiveness enables you to consistently implement your will to prosecute and to lead department members respectfully and professionally. You decide independently and take responsibility but also demonstrate teamwork and collegiality. You are always aware of your role model function, act confidently, and consistently assume your leadership responsibility.
We offer
You will lead a versatile, demanding, and responsible activity in an interdisciplinary environment with appropriate employment conditions. Offers for professional development are a matter of course for us.
