Senior Business Analyst - Demand Management 80 - 100%The Office for Information Technology (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton in the digital world.
We are looking to expand our team immediately or by arrangement for a Senior Business Analyst Demand Management for the Customer Services & Innovation department. In this role, you take on a central control and evaluation function for ICT needs in the cantonal administration. You will be operationally involved in requirements analysis, tactically in managing the demand portfolio, and strategically in further developing the canton of Zurich's digital projects.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for and conducting the demand management process from receipt to quality-assured handover into various implementation processes
- Analysis and structuring of requirements as well as development of target images, preliminary studies, and business cases
- Evaluation and prioritization of projects according to strategic, financial, and architectural guidelines
- Preparation of decision-making bases and reports for various steering committees
- Ensuring compliance with the ICT strategy and regulatory requirements (e.g., data protection, information security, etc.)
- Close collaboration with various specialist departments and relevant stakeholders as well as moderation in case of potential goal conflicts
- Further development of the demand portfolio as well as ensuring transparency and traceability
Your profile:
- University degree (FH/Uni) in business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in IT service demand, portfolio, or project management
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Methodical, well-founded, and structured working style
- Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with various specialist departments, IT managers, and diverse leadership committees
- Confident handling of ITSM, ITIL, ServiceNow, and MS Office; experience with portfolio management tools is an advantage
