Social Deacon in the Youth Sector or Youth Worker 80%
The Church District Eleven belongs to the Zurich Church Community and includes the districts Affoltern ZH and Seebach. As reinforcement for our diaconal team, we are looking for you as of December 1, 2025, or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Design of open youth work in Church District Eleven
- Organizing and conducting activities for young people and young adults such as youth meetings, excursions, youth camps, workshops, etc.
- Participation in confirmation camps and design of elective courses for confirmands
- Support and promotion of young people and young adults
- Collaboration with employees of the church district and other players in open youth work (networking)
- Supervision of trainees
Your profile
- Training in social work (sociocultural animation, community animation, social work FH/HF)
- Preferably with CAS Diakonie / TDS Aarau or willingness to continue education
- Experience and joy in church work with young people
- Team-oriented and experienced in dealing with young people
- Good Microsoft Office user skills and proficient use of social media
- Empathetic personality with the ability to build long-term relationship networks
- Flexibility for irregular working hours - also evenings and weekends
- Enjoyment in actively supporting and promoting trainees
- Christian attitude and identification with the Reformed Church
