The Road Traffic and Shipping Office of the Canton of Glarus is a modern, state-owned service company that contributes with its diverse activities to safety as well as to compliant and environmentally friendly traffic on roads and waters.

Due to retirement, we are looking for a

Traffic Expert 100%

starting June 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Schwanden.

Tasks

• Technical inspection of all vehicle categories
• Conducting theoretical and practical driving tests and control drives
• Providing technical information to private and business customers
• Handling general business correspondence

Requirements

• Completed training as an automobile mechatronics technician EFZ or in a technically equivalent profession as well as functionally relevant professional experience
• Diploma "Traffic Expert" or willingness to successfully complete the training course
• Driver's license categories B / BE for at least 3 years (categories A / C / D advantageous) and completion of the 24th year of age
• The activity requires a high level of responsibility, resilience, and empathy
• Strong in collaboration with a wide variety of people
