The field of Telecommunication Surveillance and clarifications with Internet service providers is attached to the special unit within the Criminal Police. Working with surveillance measures and their data - especially during urgent investigations - as well as writing technical reports based on clarifications with Internet service providers requires a high level of technical understanding and a sense of responsibility. High-quality support for frontline staff, essential to the success of police work, is thus guaranteed.
Your tasks
- Conduct thorough investigations with Internet service providers and write specialized reports
- Support the staff of the Bern Cantonal Police in the field of telecommunication surveillance - especially during urgent investigations - and provide related on-call services
- Advise and support in a specialized manner in all areas of telecommunication surveillance including the analysis of data from CT
- Collaborate on projects concerning federal applications and test currently used systems
- Actively observe technological developments in the field of telecommunications
Your profile
- Basic police or technical training or several years of experience in a related professional environment
- Knowledge of mobile telephony technology and/or experience in telecommunication surveillance: an advantage
- Analytical mindset and strong motivation for continuous improvement in the field of telecommunications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex technical content understandably
- Team-oriented personality, flexible and stress-resistant, ready to perform on-call duties outside office hours
- Category B driving license
