About the job
Founded in Switzerland in 1968, Zühlke is owned by its partners and located across Europe and Asia. We are a global transformation partner, with engineering and innovation in our DNA. We're trusted to help clients envision and build their businesses for the future – to run smarter today while adapting for tomorrow’s markets, customers, and communities. Our multidisciplinary teams specialise in tech strategy and business innovation, digital solutions and applications, and device and systems engineering. We excel in complex, regulated spaces including health and finance, connecting strategy, tech implementation, and operational services to help clients become more effective, resilient businesses.
If you share our values and want to do the best work, for the right reasons, we can offer you the chance to do it on a global scale and play a real role in shaping our exciting journey.
As Event Manager you are responsible for the entire event lifecycle — from strategic concept development and detailed planning to flawless execution and performance evaluation. Through impactful event formats, you strengthen our market positioning, elevate our brand perception, and create measurable business value across all markets.
In close collaboration with the M&C Team, Market Units, and Business Practices, you evaluate and select sponsoring opportunities that align with our guiding principles and strategic priorities, ensuring maximum brand impact and business relevance. As an expert in virtual, hybrid, and on-site event formats, you advise stakeholders on the most effective approaches and actively drive the development of a diverse, future-oriented event portfolio.
You ensure group-wide consistency in event and sponsoring standards while taking local market requirements and impact into account. You create distinctive and consistent brand experiences before, during, and after each event — driving brand visibility, generating new business opportunities, and deepening client engagement.
By defining clear objectives and KPIs, measuring success, and deriving actionable insights, you continuously optimise future initiatives and enhance the overall impact of our event activities.
The Role
- You understand our messaging and translate it into compelling event experiences for Zühlke events, conference engagements, and sponsorship activities.
- Together with a cross-functional team, you develop, organise, and execute (virtual, hybrid and on-site) events & event sponsorships locally and globally.
- You manage the budgeting and cost control for events, sponsorships, and giveaways.
- You take ownership of on-site quality assurance and act as a trusted partner to our B2B stakeholders.
- Research and coordinate external stakeholders along the event planning journey. (E.g.: technical experts, catering, location evaluation, speaker coordination, dry run etc.)
- After each event, you reflect on the results, evaluate success based on defined KPIs, and prepare outcome reports.
- You use your experience and intuition for selecting the right events in strategic event planning.
- You have extensive experience in stakeholder management.
- You will use our CRM for event management, target group segmentation, mailings and lead flow.
What’s important to us
- You hold a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Media Studies, or a comparable qualification, and bring several years of professional experience in event marketing.
- You have proven expertise in B2B event marketing and a strong understanding of market trends, enabling you to provide strategic recommendations and continuously evolve live marketing initiatives.
- You demonstrate outstanding organisational skills and maintain clarity and control even in complex, fast-paced environments.
- You are solution-oriented with strong stakeholder management capabilities, confidently collaborating with internal teams, partners, and external vendors.
- You quickly assess business needs and translate them into impactful marketing concepts, programs, and event formats.
- You are experienced in developing project plans, managing budgets and cost calculations, and overseeing lead management processes.
- You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in German and possess strong English language skills.
