Construction Consultant / Cantonal Monument Preservation
Do you have a passion for significant buildings – from medieval old town houses to schools from the 1970s? The cantonal monument preservation office preserves the architectural cultural heritage of the Canton of Zurich. We are looking for a construction consultant from June 1, 2026 or by arrangement to support construction projects in the northern part of the canton.
Your tasks
- You advise building owners and planning teams on monument preservation issues.
- You professionally and strategically accompany construction projects and transformation processes.
- You draft building decisions and monitor their compliance.
- You accompany the implementation of construction projects on site.
- You are responsible for heritage protection with negotiation skills and sensitivity.
- You manage grant transactions efficiently and carefully.
Your profile
- Completed training in architecture, art history, spatial planning or archaeology.
- Extensive professional experience in practical monument preservation.
- Confidence in assessing restoration, architectural and spatial planning issues.
- Convincing appearance and constructive negotiation of monument preservation interests with owners, municipalities and professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, great commitment and high conflict resilience.
- Driving license category B.
