Nursing Expert
The Merian Iselin Clinic is a state-of-the-art private clinic with a public service mandate in Basel. Our focus areas are orthopedics, surgery, and urology. With us, you will find meaningful work in a family-like environment where people are at the center.
Your main tasks
Nursing Development & Evidence-Based Practice
- Establishing, further developing, and implementing nursing professional development in the clinical setting
- Developing, updating, and implementing nursing concepts, standards, guidelines, and directives based on evidence
- Identifying development needs in nursing practice and deriving and implementing corresponding measures
- Promoting and integrating innovative nursing approaches and models
- Conducting evidence reviews on specific nursing questions
Professional Leadership & Coaching
- Professional advice and coaching of nursing professionals (expert coaching)
- Supporting the implementation of new nursing interventions
- Promoting clinical decision-making in complex patient situations, including ethical aspects
Training & Knowledge Management
- Professional preparation, execution, and follow-up of training and continuing education for nursing professionals
- Preparation and processing of scientific information for nursing practice
- Conveying evidence-based knowledge for sustainable competence development within the team
Quality Development & Projects
- Participation in quality assurance processes and outcome measurements (e.g., ANQ, internal prevalence measurements)
- Collaboration in nursing development and implementation projects
Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Interface Function
- Active participation in interdisciplinary and multiprofessional committees and working groups
- Interface between nursing science, clinical practice, and nursing management
- Co-responsibility for implementing strategic goals in nursing development
Direct Nursing (resource share 10–20%)
- Participation in direct nursing to ensure clinical relevance and practical proximity
- Promoting the practical implementation of development and research content
Your profile
- Completed Master’s degree in Nursing
- Several years of professional experience in acute care; experience as a nursing expert is an advantage
- Solid knowledge of evidence-based practice
- Confident handling of IT programs (MS Office, hospital information system)
- Committed, independent, and team-oriented personality
- Willingness to collaborate interdisciplinarily
- Strong social skills, conceptual abilities, assertiveness, and negotiation skills
- Experience in concept development and implementation of nursing development measures
- Didactic skills for professional training of nursing staff
- Project management competence and experience in change management are an advantage
