The cantonal police is responsible for the operation of the police prisons in Flums and Gossau as well as the two city prisons and the Office of Correctional Services for the regional prison in Altstätten. Due to high occupancy rates, it is planned that the police prisons in Bazenheid and Uznach will be temporarily opened. After the completion of the extension building in the regional prison Altstätten, the temporarily opened police prisons and the staff will be integrated into the regional prison Altstätten. The police prisons mainly carry out investigative and security detention.

As reinforcement for our team, we are looking for a new member starting 01.09.2026
