Your Tasks
You are responsible for the development and profiling of the Major Image & Situated Practices CRISP and represent the specialization within the Master of Art as well as externally. Together with the program management, you are responsible for the conception, organization, implementation, and further development of the major. As an artistic professor, you teach and supervise projects at the intersections of analog and digital public spheres with a focus on critical current image and media practices. In addition, you are responsible for the cross-major StudioLab "Post".
- Organization and further development of teaching in the CRISP major as well as the StudioLab "Post" according to the guidelines of the program management.
- Content and didactic responsibility as well as quality assurance for teaching in the CRISP major
- Conducting own teaching (StudioLab Post, supervision of practical and theoretical work and master theses, StudioLab Reflection)
- Student recruitment and public relations for the major
- Collaboration in the conception and implementation of publications, conferences, presentations, and exhibitions
- Participation in the core team of the Master of Art and in departmental tasks
Your Profile
- You have a current and profiled practice as an artist and/or cultural producer in the field of the CRISP major, with a focus on critical image and media practices
- You have a degree (MA) in Fine Arts or an equivalent education with relevant experience in art and exhibition management. An (artistic) PhD is desirable but not required.
- You have sound knowledge of the practices, discourses, and actors in the field of Critical Image and Situated Practices
- You have experience in exhibiting and with exhibition devices as well as in transferring current discourses into and out of the art and cultural sector
- You are internationally networked in the professional community of the major
- You have teaching experience at universities; a certificate in higher education didactics is desirable (but can also be acquired during employment)
- You have organizational and project management skills, experience in teamwork, and in moderating different professional positions
